Template Auto-Fill

Medical Template Auto-Fill From Your Consultation Note

Dictate or type the consultation once. DxCopilot fills the supported fields of your clinical template, so you review structured documentation instead of re-entering it.

Illustrative layout: supported fields filled from a note, with other details kept separately.

How It Works

Three Steps to a Completed Template

Works with the specialty or personal template open in your consultation.

  1. 1

    Dictate or Type the Note

Capture the consultation in the Voice Intake card, in your own words.

  2. 2

    Fill Template Fields

Supported fields in the template you have open are completed from the note.

  3. 3

    Review and Edit

Check every value, change what you need and continue your consultation.

Clinical Workflow Automation Without Losing Control

  • Automatic population of supported template fields.
  • Less repetitive data entry across consultations.
  • Consistent, structured clinical documentation.
  • Easy review and editing before analysis or finalization.

Safeguards Built Into Auto-Fill

  • Your entries come first

Only empty fields are filled. Values you have already entered are kept and reported.
  • Exact fit only

A value reaches a field only when it matches a listed option, the field's unit or an explicit yes/no. Nothing is converted or rounded.
  • Nothing stated is lost

Details without a matching field are kept as editable Additional Details for that consultation.
  • Your template is unchanged

Auto-fill completes the consultation, never the template definition.

Questions

Automatic Template Filling Questions

How does medical template auto-fill work?

Dictate or type your consultation note in the Voice Intake card, then choose Fill Template Fields. DxCopilot maps the note onto the template you have open, including text, number, option, yes/no and chip fields.

Will auto-fill overwrite what I have already entered?

No. Only empty fields are filled, and chip lists only gain new entries. Values you entered yourself are kept, and DxCopilot tells you how many it kept.

What happens to details that do not fit a template field?

A value reaches a field only when the field can hold it exactly: a listed option, a number in the field's unit or an explicit yes/no. Values are never converted or rounded. Other stated details are kept as editable Additional Details for that consultation, and your template itself is never changed.

Which templates can be filled automatically?

The template open in your consultation, whether it is one of the built-in specialty templates or a personal template you created.

Does a completed template mean a diagnosis?

No. Auto-fill records what your note states. Review every field before requesting clinical analysis; templates, scores and AI suggestions support your assessment and do not replace clinical judgment.

Structured documentation from the note you already have.

Fill your template, review every field and continue your consultation.
